About
Elizabeth Kaupisch

Hi! I am an American living in Munich, Germany. I view counseling as a dynamic, authentic, and collaborative relationship designed to help you work towards your version of a better tomorrow. I am passionate about honoring your current circumstances, understanding your story, and working together to create meaningful change. I seek to provide a safe, patient, kind, and curious space to explore your genuine needs, build upon your strengths, and develop valuable new skills.
Background and Training
A little more about me...
During my undergraduate studies, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, in Fort Collins, Colorado Throughout this time I worked as a crisis counselor in a shelter for individuals experiencing domestic violence. Upon graduation I worked in a residential treatment center as a cottage counselor for children and adolescents experiencing severe trauma based emotional and behavioral challenges. Several years later I completed the Combined Licensure and Master’s Program at the University of Denver, in Denver, Colorado, earning my Master of Arts in Education – Curriculum and Instruction and Elementary Teaching license. I then worked as a teacher in many different school environments including residential treatment centers, behavior support programs, public, and charter schools. Eventually, I held a school administration position which shared some overlap with the tasks of a school counselor, and I realized counseling is where my professional passion lies.

I made the decision to build on my previous personal and professional experiences, and transition from education to counseling. I enrolled in the Master of Arts Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff, Arizona. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and am a National Certified Counselor.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two teenage children – playing board games, walking the dog, exploring the city, hiking, paddle boarding, watching movies, reading while curled up with my cat, knitting, cooking, and traveling!
